This Privacy Policy describes how KanDesk ("KanDesk", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our task and project management application (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Account information. KanDesk uses Google Sign-In as its only authentication method. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Content you create. Tasks, status reports, notes, and lists you create inside the app are stored under your account so they persist across sessions and devices. This content is private to your account and is not visible to other users.
Feedback you submit. If you use the in-app feedback form, we store your message, its category, your name and email, and which page you were on at the time, so we can read and respond to it.
Usage data. We collect basic, aggregate analytics — such as session counts and general feature engagement — through Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase). This does not include the content of your tasks, notes, or lists.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate KanDesk — namely Google/Firebase, described below — and where required to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or prevent fraud or abuse of the Service.
KanDesk is built on Firebase, a Google Cloud platform. The following Firebase/Google services are used, and each is governed by Google's own privacy practices:
You can review Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure via Firebase; we do not operate separate servers of our own. Access to your account content is restricted to your authenticated account — data is scoped per-user at the database level, so one user's tasks, lists, and notes are not accessible to another user. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you'd like your account and all associated data deleted, contact us using the details below, and we will delete it within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
KanDesk uses cookies and similar technologies set by Firebase Authentication (to keep you signed in) and Firebase Analytics (to measure usage). We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
KanDesk is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Because KanDesk runs on Google's global Firebase infrastructure, your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Google maintains its own safeguards for cross-border data transfers as described in its privacy policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
